This article is to cover the error 'You are not an admin' that appears when a user clicks the 'Buy' button on the portal page like so:
If you encounter this issue it's because the user you are using is not a 'Billing admin' Please note this is another level of admin and does not come with the standard admin privileges.
NOTE: Please note that a user can make purchases on the accounts behalf with this privilege so please apply as needed.
To grant someone this access you will need to log in as your original user that set up the org. With that user:
- Access the portal (like above)
- click 'Buy'
you will then be taken to the billing portal where you will need to navigate to 'Billing Admins' and enter the e-mail address of the user you wish to add as a billing admin.
after you add the e-mail address that user should now be able to access this page as the original user did.
